Down the cobbled alleyway known as Winecellar Entry a young tourist disappears...

Escaping his past hasn’t come easy for Lochlan Kelly. As a disgraced former member of the PSNI (Police Service of Northern Ireland) he’s spent the last three years going through the motions working as an enforcer for 365 Investigations, a prominent PI firm in Belfast. Lochlan is known for his unsettling ability to switch off his emotions and get the job done. But the job is wearing on him.

Redemption calls for Lochlan when Presley Hamilton approaches the firm for help. While on a pub crawl, her sister Madeleine steps out for a smoke and disappears. Police refuse to investigate.

What first appears as a case of drug smuggling gone wrong quickly turns sinister.

As the team investigates, their connections to the city’s seedy underbelly unearths a dark conspiracy bringing Lochlan into conflict with his team and testing his allegiances.

Not all is as it seems with Madeleine’s disappearance and when the truth comes out, the team’s involvement in the case could have catastrophic and violent consequences.

In a city subtly divided by political affiliations and cultural ties, deception is rampant and knowing who to trust is currency.

A dreamer from a young age, Y M McKendry has been telling stories since she could talk.

She graduated from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec with a major in Creative Writing and a minor in Irish Studies. A yearning for adventure led her to Ireland where she earned a master's degree in Creative Writing from Trinity College Dublin.

Upon completion of her master's, she settled in Northern Ireland. Her love for Northern Ireland and its people, their wry sense of humour and heritage of storytelling, which has sustained them through a history of upheaval, has inspired her to tell the stories of this unique part of the island.

The heart of this country plays a central role in the writing of the 365 Investigations series.

Y M McKendry lives with her husband and two children, who much prefer her stories about baby raccoons.

“Gripping, gritty and tremendously atmospheric, the first installment in this new series had me from the first page.”
